I did some much needed shopping this weekend. I am pretty proud of my fantastic finds, and feel a lot happier, as women do, with my new pretty clothes!
First, I must say I LOVE CRAIGSLIST! I've always found GREAT deals, including our leather couch, chair and ottoman, and a few items for the baby! This week I happened to find this Fisher Price Rainforest Jumparoo which I was registered for. At Babies R U it is priced at $90.00! I got one from a family for $50...and it was barely used!

Monday mayhem - Great buys
PS...do any of you have this one? Do you know how to remove the seat so it can be washed in the laundry? It has laundering instructions on the tag, so their HAS to be a way to get it out...I just can't figure out how!
As for some new fun clothes, Old Navy is having a great sale! I got these two maternity pieces for 50% off!

You gotta love Craigslist!
Most of my maternity clothes come from Motherhood Maternity. This time around I also found some good clothes at Kohls, although they may be hit or miss because last time I was disappointed by their selection.
First of all, you'll love that skirt...even after you've had the baby! I have two like that, and I STILL wear them - 3 months later! As for where to find clothes, yes, they are all overpriced! I found a resale maternity store and they had GREAT deals...look for something like that. Otherwise, Target and motherhood maternity were my go-to places. Hope that helps!
You are gonna love the jumperoo--great find! Also, those brown pants are gonna be all you wear!!
What a GOOD craigslist find! Apparently my area just doesn't carry nice stuff in craigslist :( However, our target here has a nice maternity section! (not that I need that!) Good luck finding some cute clothes!
So far, I've been able to get away with just buying extra long t-shirts (Forever 21 has plain v-neck ones for like $4.80 in a bunch of fun, bright colors) and I LOVE my BellaBand which I got at Target for $16.99.
I know finding clothes for work (that are cute AND affordable) is a huge problem, but if you stick with stretchy waitband skirts that will hopefully hold you over.
Or just find a pregnant friend that is further along than you and steal their clothes when their belly bump outgrows them! HA!
Good luck! :)
The WHOLE rainforest collection is the BEST! We have the playmat and the bouncy seat. Jackson LOVES LOVES LOVES them! Lots of bright colors and lots of toys to play with! Good choice!!
Do you have a Burlington Coat Factory where you are? They have great prices on clothes - including maternity. Motherhood has great clothes, but are way expensive.
Glad you found some sweet deals over the weekend - there's nothing like a great bargain!
ooooh!! great buys!!! I love the rain forest thing, and I think he'll have a great time be bopping around in it! Your clothes are super cute, too! Sorry about not finding much preggo clothes. I suggest just buying the normal stuff you like, a cute cami, and then just cutting a belly-shaped hole out of the shirt for baby to grow through! You know, like on Mean Girls with the boobs! :D I think you could start a really cool trend!
I found a bunch of great maternity clothes in the clearance section at THE GAP. Old Navy has some great stuff but not all stores carry it. Motherhood is great but often overpriced. We had the boucearoo (same one) I craiglisted mine for $45 LOL! I don't remember how to take the cushion off. Gavin hated it and didn't go in it enough to warrant cleaning.
Put this on your regisrty! Worth EVERY penny! http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3420756
Even when Kiddo was a baby 9 years ago, I had trouble washing his seat cushions! It may have some loops that go over some clippy things on the outside of the seat plastic. Does that make sense? That's what we found with ours. Good luck!
Btw, I have a linky party going on at my blog! Come on over!
Holly just bought a jumparoo just like that except it's a different theme but it's by Fisher Price--her son Nathan LOVES it!! I'm glad you got such a great deal! I remember being frustrated too about the whole maternity clothing thing. I had the most luck at Kohl's. But I pretty much stopped shopping for clothing after awhile b/c I was so sad I couldn't go to "normal" stores anymore!
Great great find! We used Craigslist, too and saved a bunch of money.
I know what you mean about the expensive maternity clothes. It's crazy! I did a lot of different things .... don't laugh but here goes:
1) Resale store and sometimes that even meant Goodwill or Salvation Army.
2) Kohls had great items ...wait til they are on sale.
3) ebay! Some gals sell a bunch of clothes in one auction and that was very helpful.
4) Some of the pregnant women at our church saved their clothes and let the "new" pregnant borrow them! THIS REALLY HELPED!
And I hope my ideas help you. If nothing else, know you are not alone in thinking the clothes are high priced and we all try to avoid it! LOL!
Ann Taylor Loft has maternity clothes online.
Leave the maternity department at Target and head over to the pajama section. They have these thin tee shirts under the Xhileration label that are PERFECT maternity shirts. The size XL lasted almost all the way to the very end of my pregnancy and I got HUGE. They're nice and lightweight and stretchy and long and comfy and come in a bunch of colors and they're CHEAP, at about 8 bucks apiece. I'm still wearing them now, and my baby is 8 months old too!
Oh, and Motherhood is JUNK. Everything I bought there shrunk or faded very quickly. Get a good pair of jeans (If you have A Pea In The Pod, they have designer denim - I loved my maternity Joe's!) because you'll wear them a lot.
I have found TONS of cute shirts at ROSS. They don't have a large selection, but about half of it is really cute. Not so much luck with pants/skirts there, but great for shirts!
My advice would be to buy a few good basics that can be mixed and matched, even if they are a little more expensive!! And some of the styles now you can wear with your cute little belly:)
I had to use brute force to pop the seat off its tracks, then you can easily remove the fabric to wash, my 7 month old LOVES his jumperoo!
Old Navy was a favorite for my maternity wear.
girl, old navy is your best bet. I have gotten most everything from there or target. they have the best prices and I have that skirt on today in black :) i also have it in brown :) so comfy!
and i have to have one of those jumperoos! :)
We just gor the same rainforest jumper. When I put it together the seat snapped in to place. I would put it upside down and see if any clips are holding it down, it should unsnap. Then the seat cover is just looped on from the bottom.
try H&M - they have fun maternity stuff- really easy looking, wearing and on the wallet
